WICB Professional Cricket League Draft on Today

THE third Player Draft of the West Indies Cricket Board Professional Cricket League will take place today at the Coppin/Cozier/Short Media Centre at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados from 10:00hrs. The selection order for the Player Draft is linked to the final league position and performance of the franchise in the 2015-16 WICB Professional Cricket League Regional 4-Day Tournament.
In the draft Leeward Islands Hurricanes will go first, followed by Windward Islands Volcanoes second, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force third, Jamaica Scorpions fourth, Barbados Pride fifth and Guyana Jaguars last.
The six franchises shall participate in the Player Draft through the Chairman of Selectors or Head Coach. Taking part in the selection process will be Hamesh Anthony, Chairman of Selectors, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, Charles Walter, Chairman of Selectors, Windward Islands Volcanoes, Gus Logie head coach, Trinidad & Tobago Red Force, Robert Samuels coach, Jamaica Scorpions, Hendy Wallace, Chairman of Selectors, Barbados Pride, Hendy Springer, head coach, Barbados Pride and Rayon Griffith, Chairman of Selectors, Guyana Jaguars.
The Player Draft has been organised with the goal of achieving an equitable distribution of the available player talent in the Regional 4-Day and NAGICO Super50 tournaments.
