DDL; Ansa McAl partner for Golden Jaguars friendly

Beverage giants Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Ansa McAl have combined for this weekend’s international friendly football match between Guyana’s Golden Jaguars and Canada’s Olympic side.DDL, through it’s Pepsi and Gatorade Brand,and Ansa McAL ,through it”Stag brand will keep the football flag flying high at the National Stadium.
During yesterday’s morning press conference, DDL brand executive Larry Wills contended, “This is the time for getting together and showing support for our own. We are celebrating our 50th Independence anniversary.”
“We want people to come out and give the Guys support and let them know that you were behind them 100%,” continued the DDL representative.
“Stag beer will assist them (the jags) in celebrating when they win,” a smiling Darshanie Yusuf, the Public Relations Officer of Ansa McAl, told the media yesterday morning.
She chronicled the work that the beer brand has done for football locally adding that, “the last couple of friendlies, we have done amazing and that is one of the direct results of being able to play league football.”
Meanwhile, the Federation through vice president Rawlston Adams, said that the federation is always happy to have sponsors like DDL and Ansa McAl on board, adding “this is the GFf’s participation in the 50th anniversary celebrations.
He continued by thanking the government and all those stakeholders who made the game possible.
The Guyana vs Canada friendly which begins at 19:00hrs will be preceded by a match between Chase academy and Christiansburg Wismar secondary school, which begins at 16:00hrs
Meanwhile, tickets are available for schools and the GFF vice president has urged business to come on board for the initiative.
