A jealous ex-lover who shot and injured his paramour and her male companion over a week ago in Linden is now wanted by the police.

Injured were 41- year old Simone Belle of Half Mile, Wismar and Sherwin Hughes, 41 years, of Blueberry Hill, Wismar.

Wanted is 47-year-old Colwyn Croal, called ‘Alex Croal’ of Lot 604 Half Mile, Wismar, Linden. He is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the attempted murder of Simone Belle and Sherwin Hughes on April 3, at Half Mile, Linden.

“Investigations so far have revealed that Simone Belle had just arrived home in a vehicle driven by Sherwin Hughes, when shots were discharged at them in the vehicle by a man who is reported to have shared a relationship with Belle and which was ended several months ago,” the Guyana Police Force said in a statement following the incident. Both Belle and Hughes were admitted to hospital but have since been discharged.
