TWENTY-three-year-old Josiah Bess of Campbellville, Georgetown, was on Wednesday placed before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a charge of robbery.He is accused of robbing Mark Decree of one gold chain valued $230,000. Bess denied the allegation.
Bess’s lawyer, Adrian Thompson, told the court that there was no identification parade and the virtual complaint did not identify Bess as the person who took the chain.
The accused was placed on $150,000 bail, and he has to report to the Campbellville outpost until the completion of the trial. The matter is adjourned until May 3, 2016.
