TEAM Phantom made light work of the rest of the competition in last weekend’s International dominoes tournament, hosted by the Guyana Dominoes Association.The Phantom team, comprising Forbes Solomon, Orin Favourite, Rafuel Charles, Lennox Lee, Ackeem Soloman and Rawle Cameron among others, took the title after playing for than 100 games between them.
They accumulated 96 points in the final after 6 rounds of action at three simultaneous tables.
With the win, the Phantom team came away $1M richer in the second edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile, second place went to team Masters who had 69 points, three points ahead of their third-place finishers Mix Up.
The 24-team tournament saw Masters walk off with a $500 000 while third place Mix Up collected $250 000.
Wild card team Unity took home the fourth place and $200 000 after 73 games. The defending champions Rage were nowhere to be found in the tally on the final day.
