Corentyne farmer found dead in hammock; shotgun missing

 

The police are investigating the alleged murder of a 78 – year – old farmer, whose body was found on Tuesday night at the Crabwood Creek home.

According to a police report, the body of Khublall Gomes was discovered at approximately 21:30 hrs in his hammock under his Grant 1651 Backlands, Crabwood Creek, Corentyne home, with wounds to the head and a plastic cuff around his throat.

His licensed shotgun is missing; the body is at the Skeldon Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination as the investigations continue.
