Jeffrey added, “We didn’t even touch the car since the last races (November) we just did a spanner check. Today is the first time we are running the car for the year at the track so we are just going to do some fine-tuning and we are going to see where it goes from there.”
The group four competitor and son of ace racer Kevin Jeffrey, who made light work of the Caribbean Competition in 2015 and will seek the treble of the Caribbean Motor Racing Association’s Championships this year, is upbeat about the coming season, set to get going in May.
“Right now, we’ve got a few new cars from Jamaica and we’re looking at the big picture In group 4, we’ve got some more artillery coming so the game has been upped but we don’t know what’s going to happen with the splitting of classes right now,” said the Caribbean champion
He continued, “But as a racer, I have a car, we built the car to suit the rules and it’s still fresh for me. Just my second year in and I just love racing and I take every opportunity I get.”
