– no cause for alarm

THE Joint Services on Monday started a field tactical exercise, Exercise Steadfast, in the lead-up to Operation Plexus which will be conducted during the upcoming Local Government Elections.

Exercise Steadfast follows the recently concluded Command Post Exercise, Exercise Holdfast, and will see the conduct of several activities including road blocks, vehicular and foot patrols and the establishment of Joint Operation Centres at respective Police Divisional Headquarters.

Members of the public are urged to give their co-operation which is vital to the success of the exercise and they should not be alarmed by the increased presence of ranks.

Exercise Steadfast will be concluded on March 17, the day before LGE.
