Riding high on a superb hundred from Ronaldo Ali-Mohamed, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ended day one of their Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)-sponsored GISE/Star Rentals/Trophy Stall first division game against Police Sport Club (PSC) in a commanding position.

On a flat batting pitch, Mohamed smashed his way to 124 and anchored GCC to 326-8 declared.
It was an innings of maturity which spanned 134 balls, with 17 fours and two sixes.
Sachin Singh stroke a compact 62, while Martin Pestano-Bell (42), Manny Ford (28) and Omesh Boodram (21 not out) were the other principal scorers after GCC were sent in to bat.
Bowling for PSC Vishaul Jaigobin claimed 4-64. He received good support from Stephen Harris (2-48), Eon Rodrigues (1-39) and Kevin Leitch (1-54).
After the declaration was made, Police reached 46-1 when bails were lifted. Reginald Rodrigues was the batsman dismissed to Denzil Harry for four.
PSC trailed GCC first innings by 280 runs.
