TWENTY-four-year-old Leroy Williams made an appearance before City Magistrate Judy Latchman on Monday to answer a robbery charge.Williams, of D’Urban Backlands, pleaded not guilty to the charge that was read to him which stated that he stole a gold chain valued $138,000, property of Lisa Kishore on October 3, 2015 at Croal Street, Georgetown.
The Police Prosecutor told that court that Kishore positively identified the defendant, and that there was a concern for her safety if the man was released.
Williams was denied bail, and the matter adjourned to March 11.
