Barbados Pride lead Guyana Jaguars by 155 runs

BRIDGETOWN – Barbados Pride, with a first innings lead of 84 runs, were 71 for one – an overall lead of 155 runs – against leaders Guyana Jaguars, at the close on the second day of their seventh round Regional Professional Cricket League first-class match at Kensington Oval here yesterday.The not out batsmen are Kyle Corbin on 28 and Shai Hope on nine while captain Kraigg Brathwaite was out for 33, caught at first slip by his opposite number Leon Johnson of the bowling of left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul.
Earlier, off-spinner Roston Chase captured career-best figures of five for 27 in 15.5 overs as the Jaguars, replying to Barbados Pride’s first innings total of 274, were dismissed for 190 in 61.5 overs.
Johnson top-scored with 40 while other useful contributions came from Raymon Reifer, 36, opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul, 31, Permaul, 30 and wicket-keeper Anthony Bramble, 26.
In other close of play scores: Scorpions 225 and 13-0, Red Force (206). Hurricanes 327 vs Vocanoes 21-0.
