MAE’S Secondary produced a sterling performance to sink Charlestown Secondary 5-0 on Sunday in the Petra-organised Milo Under-20 Schools Football Tournament at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.Charlestown conceded only one goal in the first half when Raheem Hutson scored in the 23rd minute. However, Mae’s piled on the pressure in the second half as Emmanuel Trotman doubled the lead in the 39th minute.
Tyrese Payne accounted for goal three in the 41st minute before Darshan Persaud added the fourth in the 58th then Hutson completed a brace in the 59th minute.
St John’s won 2-1 against Tutorial in a come-from-behind result. Eon Adams (11th) and Joel Taap (30th) scored once each to overshadow Alastair Frank’s sixth minute goal which had put Tutorial ahead.
St Rose’s High sank Freeburg 2-1 with a double from Loncel Martin who scored in the 29th and 52nd minutes but did not end his match with dignity after picking up a red card in the 57th minute.
Deron Thom pulled one back for the opposition in the 68th minute but even with a player short St Rose’s managed to pull off the win.
In the final match of the day Queenstown Secondary and St George’s Secondary battled to a goalless draw.
