Scorpions fall to 85-run defeat to Hurricanes

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Scorpions slipped to an 85-run defeat to Leeward Islands Hurricanes in the WICB Professional Cricket League (PCL) four-day match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.Starting the day on 58-2 in need of 366 runs for victory, the Scorpions were dismissed for 280.
Scores: Hurricanes 155 & 368-8 declared; Scorpions 158 & 280.
Kirk Edwards led the scoring for the Scorpions, hitting 13 fours and three sixes in his knock of 93.
Burly off-spinner Rahkeem Cornwall grabbed 7-131 for the Hurricanes, who were winning their first game of the 2015/16 season.
