CANADIAN Hall-of-Fame inductee Alex Bunbury got an opportunity to share his dream of building a Sports and Academics Centre in Guyana, with Minister of Education Dr Rupert Roopnarine. Bunbury departed Guyana this week following his two-week stint which marked his first visit to the land of his birth since migrating to Canada 40 years ago.
According to reports reaching Chronicle Sport, Minister Roopnarine was receptive to Bunbury’s initiative and highlighted that it’s something the Ministry of Education will be interested in, since it helps to strike a balance between sports and education.
