TWENTY-FIVE-year-old Christie Junior of 109 Rosemary Lane, Tiger Bay, was yesterday arraigned before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore, charged with robbery under arms.It is alleged that on January 2, at the Kingston Seawall, while being armed with a knife, he robbed Adrian Allen of a cellular phone, $1,500 cash and a scotia bank card – total value $17,000.
Junior pleaded not guilty to the charge in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts and was remanded to prison until January 19.
The prosecutor did not reveal the facts to the court but objected to bail on the grounds of the nature of the charge, citing that if the accused was granted his pre-trial liberty he might tamper with the victim.
