A CLOTHES vender who conducts business in the Interior was placed on $200,000 bail after she appeared in court before City Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer a charge of simple larceny.Twenty-one-year old Cherryann Hope pleaded not guilty to the charge which read that on January 5, 2016 at America and Lombard Streets she stole 12 T- Shirts and one gold bracelet which amounted to $232,000, the property of Dexter Forrester.
Police Prosecutor Hunt said that on the day in question the virtual complainant left the items in a bag in his car in the vicinity of his business.
The accused was seen removing the bag from the car.
She is expected to return to court on January 26, 2016.
