POLICE on Monday seized an unlicenced 9mm pistol and a quantity of marijuana during separate raids in the interior.In a release, police said that at about 10:00h yesterday, ranks in ‘F Division conducted a search on a mining camp at Arangoy, Mazaruni River, during which an unlicensed 9mm. sub-machine pistol was found. One man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

At about the same time, another team of policemen conducted a search on a man at the Itaballi Checkpoint, during which 2 kilograms, 748 grams of marijuana were found. He also has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
