A POST mortem examination carried out yesterday on the body of Camille Chandini Pereira, who was involved in a fatal accident last Thursday, has revealed that she died as a result of a fractured spine and blunt trauma to the neck. The 18-year-old of Bent Street, Wortmanville, a former North Ruimveldt Secondary student, was in the company of two friends while heading out for pizza in motor vehicle PKK 8551, which

crashed while travelling along Croal Street.
One of the occupants of the vehicle is listed as critical, and is a patient at the Intensive Care Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital, while another, who is pregnant, is also a patient.
The driver of the Toyota Carina motor car, Shaquille Browne, was charged and yesterday appeared in court, where he plead not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.
He was placed on $200,000 bail, and was required to lodge his passport and driver’s licence. His next court date is January 23, 2016.
The dead teen’s mother, Rajkumarie Pereira, who was present in court, made it known that she was not accepting any form of compensation for her daughter’s death, and wanted the court to give her justice.
