The activity was hosted at the Carifesta Sports Complex at Carifesta Avenue in Thomas Lands, Georgetown.

The four-day event concluded in Berbice on Monday, and organisations that contributed to the event included: The Give Foundation, Project Hope, Save Abee, Enforcers Car, Team MMR, and Lets Talk Lakshmi.

At the event there was a bouncy castle, females dressed in beloved cartoon characters, merry go round, trampoline, Santa Clause, games to win prizes, and a ferris wheel.

According to President of Enforcers Care, Sureain Sawh, a total of 23 orphanages spread between Demerara and Berbice were targeted, and children were treated to gifts, snacks and entertainment.Ferris-wHEEL

The persons involved in the charitable acts are from New York, Canada, Florida, Canada and Guyana.

Meanwhile, President of Save Abee, Asha Tilak, said many children from various orphanages converged at the Carifesta Sports Complex to interact with each other.

“We feel it’s our duty to make them feel special for the Christmas holiday, and for them to be a part of something more like a family interaction,” she said.

She noted that Save Abee also has a computer school at Cotton Tree, West Coast Berbice, and students there are taught Math and English.

“We will be opening another centre in January 2016 at Meter-meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara,” she disclosed.
