THE Guyana National Rifle Shooting Association (Guyana NRA) and the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) held their first awards presentation following the first year of IPSC sanctioned shooting in Guyana.The occasion was held on Friday evening last at the Crown Mining Supply Roof Gardens, Middleton Street, Campbellville and was graced with the presence of Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force, Brigadier Mark Phillips, MSM, who is also President of the Guyana NRA.
Regional Director of IPSC (Guyana), Mr. Harold Hopkinson thanked Brigadier Phillips, members and the many sponsors who have contributed through the year for their support which made the year a successful one.
This year marked the first time in history of Guyana NRA that there were three Level One shoots under the IPSC rules, Hopkinson noted while stating that for 2016 they are aiming for at least one competition per month as well as a Level 2 competition. IPSC and the Guyana NRA also hosted a Range Officers Course.

Production (Normal Gun – only 15 rounds in magazine) – 1st, Ryan McKinnon; 2nd, Rajiv Latchana; 3rd, Surujbali Persaud; 4th, Romesh Latchana; 5th, Shawn Smith; 6th, Roberto Tewari; and 7th, Fabian Stuart.
