IMTIAZ Baccus was elected as President of the Albion Community Centre Cricket Club, when that entity held its Annual General Meeting last Monday at the Albion Community Centre’s Main Hall.Baccus, a retired Senior Laboratory Technician at GuySuCo – Albion Estate, who previously served as the Club’s Vice-President for over fifteen years, replaces Lloyd Kanden who did not seek re-election due to ill health, after being at the helm of the Club for the past thirteen years.
Businessman, Romeo Singh, was elected as the Club’s new Vice-President after serving as Committee Member in the year 2014, while former Berbice and Guyana Youth Manager and current Human Resources Manager of GuySuCo’s Albion Estate, Vemen Walter, returned as Secretary.
The Club’s new Treasurer is David Latchaya, while there is also a new Assistant Secretary/Treasurer in Joshia Dhanai.
Three Committee Members: Totaram Haricharand, Ritesh Umroe, and Fredrick Hussain were also elected.
The new Executives will meet on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 to name the Club’s Captains, Vice-Captains and Managers of the respective teams, together with the Sub-Committees for the New Year.
