MISS India Guyana, Lieve Blanckaert, is about to embark on a mission to educate the young in Guyana. Already set on a path to make a positive difference in their lives, she is keeping in tune with her platform, ‘Educating the Orphanage’, and will, in the near future, conduct a book drive at the Joshua House for orphans under the title, ‘The People Care Book Drive’.
The very talented beauty ambassador is calling on corporate donors and other individuals to make this activity a resounding success by donating books to the cause.
Lieve is presently building a classroom from scratch, remodelling and painting the area where she will teach the young about issues that are important to their growth.
The initiative allows participation of persons from age three to 18, so all are welcome to help Lieve achieve her objective.
Kindly donate to this programme the books you no longer need; they will be used to tutor children in the afternoon programme that will commence in January 2016.
The aim of this book drive is to create a new initiative that promotes literacy and life-long learning.
Besides the books, some volunteers will help to create an after-school tutoring programme.
Lieve says that “with your help, we can create a better future for these aspiring young children. Thank you in advance for your support!”
The Buzz would like to congratulate Lieve on her excellent performance at the recently held Miss India Worldwide Pageant in Mumbai, India.
Being the youngest contestant, at 17 years old, and having been crowned just two weeks before the international pageant, Lieve did an awesome job for herself and Guyana.
Because of strict time constraints, the evening gown and top 10 segments were eliminated from this pageant, and about ten sub-titles were awarded.
Miss India Guyana, Lieve Blanckaert, won the Miss Beautiful Skin award!
