POLICE have been able to identify the remains of a man whose body was found behind the Marriott Hotel on Friday afternoon by guests of the hotel.Additionally, the remains of a man who was also found behind the Park Vue Hotel at Farm, East Bank Demerara have also been identified.
The body behind the Marriott Hotel in Kingston was identified as Leon Glasgow. The man, according to police sources, was of an unsound mind, and resided at Lot 1444 Bare Root Village on the Upper East Coast of Demerara.
Relatives told the police that they had no proper explanation as to how the man ended up behind the Marriott, but confirmed that he was on medication for an illness. The police could not confirm if there was any foul play.
Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that the body of the man found behind the Park Vue Hotel on Saturday afternoon has been identified as Samaroo Seepersaud of Lot 11 Herstelling New Scheme East Bank Demerara, who was missing since Friday morning.
A post-mortem found that he died as a result of a heart attack.
