WITH the busiest season of the year once more upon us, the Guyana Chronicle on Saturday headed out to the Giftland Mall at Turkeyen to find out what the public thought of it. The following are some of the responses we got:

FRANCINE FRANCE: “For me, Christmas is time to be with family; it’s filled with cooking and cleaning…. But most of all, it’s an exciting time for the children.”
KEISHA PARKS, sales representative: “The Christmas Season is on; that means work and more work. But I can’t wait to decorate my house and the Christmas Tree, and to

spend time with my family.”
KESTER HUSTON: “Well, the season has kicked in. For me, as a father, it’s all about the family and the warmth of the house, filled with meals and laughter.”

SHARIE SINGH: “Right now, I’m not feeling the spirit; I am the Christmas Grinch. But this season, I will be donating to charity, and looking forward to receiving tons of gifts.”

DENZEL THOMPSON, Salvation Army Officer: “It is the season of giving, and we are going all out to take care of the less fortunate to make this Christmas one of the greatess. But I will be spending it with my Salvation Army family, since my own family is home in Jamaica.”
YOLANDA SKELDON: “I was expecting this season to be a little better, but with the slowdown of the economy…. But the highlight of the season is the beautification of Guyana and the city.”
