TRAFFIC Chief Superintendent Dion Moore, has confirmed that the police are hunting the driver of a white pick-up that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run fatality that claimed the life of 17-year-old Travis Bollers of Lot 40 Princes Street, Georgetown on Thursday evening.

Bollers was reportedly riding a motorcycle with his cousin, Quacy McAlman, as pillion rider when the pickup allegedly slammed into the motorcycle after exiting a cross street onto Sheriff Street without exercising any of the five Cs’. The pillion rider was flung several feet away and suffered lacerations about the body.
The police have not yet been able to identify either the errant driver or the ill-fated vehicle, the Traffic Chief has said, but would on Saturday be reviewing footage from CCTV cameras located in the area.
He said the police have already received some statements from persons in the area who witnessed the accident, but they said efforts to record the registration plate of the pickup were futile.
Eon Bollers, an older brother of the late Travis Bollers, said the family was informed that after he had struck down the duo, the driver of the vehicle exited his vehicle to look at the injured, re-entered his vehicle and drove away at a very fast rate.
The police are asking anyone with information that may lead to the capture of the driver to kindly contact the nearest police station.
