Guyanese can be assured that Mashramani 2016 is certainly on, except for the pushing back of the costume and float parade to May, to coincide with the country’s 50th Independence anniversary celebrations. This was confirmed by Minister Nicolette Henry yesterday during the official launch of Mashramani 2016 under the theme ‘Celebration of Diversity, Unity and Sovereignty’. The launch was done amid a rich cultural programme where performers entertained the sizeable gathering of persons who braved the inclement weather to attend (See story/photos in our Sunday edition)
