Murder accused Kowlesar freed by jury

A MIXED jury on Monday freed Morris Kowlesar called “Little” of murder allegedly committed on Ganesh Rattan called “Jukka,” who was pushed off a pavilion to his death below. Rattan was said to have been on the top floor of the pavilion when according to the lone eyewitness, he was pushed or thrown from the 15-foot high building by the accused.
Prosecutrix Miss Orienthia Schmidt with Miss Shonette Austin conducted the case for the prosecution. Madam Roxane George was the presiding judge.
Subsequent to police investigations, “Little” was arrested and charged with the murder allegedly committed on March 18, 2012 .
Attorney-at-Law Mr. Sandel Kissoon, who represented the accused, had urged the jury to find that the star witness was not worthy of belief.
