TEAM Coco’s Raynauth `Obeahman’ Jeffrey won the third stage of the National Sports Commission’s (NSC)-sponsored `Tour of Guyana’ Five-Stage cycle road race yesterday, but the win for Jeffrey does not affect the placings of the top six leaders.Jeffrey, race leader Carlos Ospina and Raqul Leal all crossed the finish line in 57 minutes 13 seconds, with Jeffrey winning ahead of his Team Coco’s team mate and Colombian rider, Ospina, and

Team Gillette Evolution’s Leal in third place. Yesterday’s third stage started from the Wales Police Station and ended at Bushy Park on the East Bank of the Essequibo.
Eight seconds later there was a bunch sprint for the other top six places and this was won by Team Coco’s Hamza Eastman from Alanzo Greaves (Roraima), Barbadian Marloe Rodman (Heatwave), Michael Anthony (Gillette Evolution), Barbadian Daren Matthews (Coco’s), Marlon `Fishy’ Williams (Gillette Evolution) and Mark Harris (United) respectively.
