THUNDEROUS screams rocked the Police Sports Club pavilion at Eve Leary when St John’s College were declared the winners, ahead of Bishops’ High, of the Zone two track competition of the North Georgetown Inter-School Championships. However, screams of the St John’s revellers were soon equally matched by the Bishops’ side, when Bishops’ High were declared the overall ‘Champion of Champions’.
In the track competition Bishops’ did not go down easily and fought St John’s every step of the way to gain their 530 points, but St John’s College would have none of it, and, refusing to relinquish their title, withstood Bishops’ fight to amass 577 points to take the title.
Tallying the points, Christ Church Secondary ended with 408 points to take third in the track competition, as well as ending third overall in the ‘Champion of Champions’.
