Cabinet clears over $45M in contracts for New GPC

THE New Guyana Pharmaceutical Corporation Inc (New GPC Inc) was among three pharmaceutical companies to which cabinet gave its no objection for the procurement of medical consumables for standard and technical services. This was announced by Minister of Governance Raphael Trotman on Wednesday at this week’s post-Cabinet press briefing held at the Office of the President.
Global Health Services Limited – a contract for $8,072,547; Caribbean Medical supplies – two contracts for $70,483,202 and $20,258,074; New GPC Inc. received two contracts in the sum of $11,122,105 and $34,028,622, and International Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) received a contract to the value of $33,892,095.
Meanwhile, $40,132,130 was approved for GUYNAZ Enterprise to supply and deliver dietary supplements for Dora and Kuru Kuru schools. An $18, 739, 000 contract was awarded to Puran Brothers Disposal Services to provide operational service at the Lusignan Landfill facility located on the East Coast of Demerara, while Federal Management Systems was awarded a contract valued at $55,319,750 for the provision of security services at the Ministry of Communities. All the contracts awarded are expected to be fulfilled by the end of December, 2015.
