A POLICE release has said that ranks of a mobile police patrol yesterday chased down and caught a man who had in his possession an unlicensed .38 revolver with six matching rounds, four 9mm rounds and two .32 rounds.The release said the driver of a motor car was stopped by traffic ranks on Thomas Street Georgetown, but drove away as the police approached him. He was later intercepted by ranks and a search of his vehicle unearthed the illegal cache.

The man has been detained and charges will be made shortly.
