THE battle was fierce last Saturday as eleven singers contested for top spots in the Princess 2015 Karaoke Star Competition. As the singers had all suggested, almost everyone took their act to the extreme, hoping to demolish the competition. Now it’s going to be crazy tomorrow night when the event moves into its

quarter-final segment with only ten singers battling for vocal supremacy.

Well, Victoria’s Michael Spencer, who felt it more fitting to take a relative to the hospital than to be on stage, has been chopped from the competition, along with DJ Mongo Slade, who faced the judges’ elimination at the last round.

Now the heat will be turned up as singers wage a literal war in the ‘Ultimate Showdown’ segment that will see them engaged in a fiery ‘sing off’ to determine the individual with the better vocals and ‘competition package’.

Meanwhile, the promoters lavish praise on the management of the Trophy Stall (Bourda Market in Georgetown) for its continued support to the venture from the very inception in late June 2015. Promoters are expecting to receive the first, second and third place trophies from the Trophy Stall.

Jamal Benjamin, who will battle against Gino Fullington, has vowed to place him in a coffin when he would have completed his performance. Bartica power house Silyne Griffith will come up against Georgetown’s Lashaun Charles, but her act will have to be good, as Charles has vowed to set the place on fire.

Jonathan Basteano has declared that he will ‘make a mess’ of Louis Benjamin, while Romichelle Brummelle has said she would ‘tear down de roof’ when she battles against Iodelle Gilbert. Azzaruddin Laljie says he would ‘tear odd de skin’ of Daniel Dondrake in his showdown, while much is expected from Ayalliah Maria Roshuvel.

The props will be crazy and the steam will be turned up to alarming degrees tomorrow night, so make sure you are inside Club Next (Princess Hotel) at 9pm, when the Princess Star ‘Demolition Showcase’ begins…

Admission to the event is set at a mere $500.
