THE newly revived C 3 Recreational Park, Berbice’s newest community and family-oriented park and cricket ground will officially opened on Saturday, August 22 and 23 with a grand ceremony. 

The C 3 Park will be used to host cricket matches and other functions and will be developed into a friendly family-oriented venue with benabs, platforms, clubhouse, paved walkway, wifi centre and a mini water park.
On Saturday, August 22, an Exposition and West Berbice Family Night event will be hosted.
Patrons can expect to view and indulge in vending booths, international bars, food court dining, all games and inflated rides for children, Cartoon characters like Barney, Dora, Diego and Spongebob and Mickey will be in the house to entertain the children.
There will also be a domestic band featuring, Bunty Singh, Aaron and Sandella, King Murphy Invasion One-man band among other performing artistes, along with 71 Sounds System. Special entertainment packages will be in store for children from Tons of Fun Party Service.
For the first time in West Berbice there will be an Expo and Family Night with a difference, as the children will be the focus of interest.
On the following day, Sunday, the atmosphere will be transformed into a party-like village for a grand cricket extravaganza, featuring the mighty Albion Cricket Club, Young Warriors, Western Berbice and East Coast Demerara.
There will also be a feature game between Trophy Stall Girls and Karibee Rice Female Team. The games are set to commence at 09:00hrs and much entertainment is expected.
The event has been significantly supported by the Ansa McAl Brands Carib and Mackeson and fans can look forward to a big treat from the company. There will be giveaways and a special party stand will be set up to ensure that the atmosphere is electric.

The fee for entry to the exposition and family night is $300 with adults and children under 10 no charge. Admission to the cricket is free and all are encouraged to come out and support.
The venue, which is located just off the public road in Cotton Tree, has been abandoned and inactive for over 3 years and a new committee comprising individuals from the community decided to restore the facility.
The committee includes Bhoomeshwar Shivnarine as chairman, Goorprasad Budhu – vice-chairman, Tage Singh – treasurer, Vickram Singh – secretary, and 6 other members.
