OMAR Stephens was yesterday found guilty of stealing from an 11-year-old child an RCA Tablet valued at $15,000.City Magistrate Annette Singh, presiding in Court 11, sentenced the father of three to four months’ imprisonment on the larceny-from-the-person charge, particulars of which detailed that on May 25, at East Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown, he committed the act.
The matter was prosecuted by Police Corporal Adduni Innis, who informed the court that the stolen article was not recovered.
The unrepresented convict, in his defence, pleaded with the court to be lenient with him, since, he said, the mother of his children is not working at the moment.
