A DRIVER accused of dislocating his friend’s arm as a result of a heated argument was yesterday granted $100,000 bail by Magistrate Leron Daly at the Providence Magistrates Court. Ernest Lowe, 47, of Lot 976 Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on Mark Ramsammy on Tuesday, April 21,2015 at Diamond Housing Scheme.
Lowe denied the allegation, but Police Prosecutor Michael Grant told the court that both parties received injuries during the misunderstanding. Grant did not object to bail.
The matter will be called again on Monday, July 20, 2015, while an arrest warrant was issued for Ramsammy.
