A 14-YEAR-old student of Wakapoa in the Lower Pomeroon river is five months pregnant. According to reliable reports, the student is currently a patient of the Suddie hospital while her father, who is accused of impregnating her, is in custody at the Charity Police station.Reports said the matter was brought to light after the child was rushed, and admitted, to the hospital. Police are conducting investigations. Only recently a 13-year-old child of Wakapoa gave birth to twin babies at the Suddie hospital.
Reports said the child was raped and was discovered pregnant after she reported to her teacher that she felt “something” moving in her abdomen while at school. (Rajendra Prabhulall in Essequibo)
