MINISTER of Public Infrastructure David Patterson, on Thursday last, inspected the temporary structures built to facilitate traffic flow in two critical sections along the Lethem road. The culverts in these two sections – Miles 1 and 12 – from Annai heading towards Lethem were eroded and had collapsed under the recent heavy rainfall in the area.
During his observation and assessment of the structures, Minister Patterson reiterated the need for more resilient structures to withstand the weather and traffic. To this end, he has given his approval for the construction of robust structures in the two sections.
Work is scheduled to begin in another four weeks.
