THERE is a bit of good news making the rounds in Guyanese society: Gravity Lounge has joined the dessert industry; the ‘Marble Slab Creamery’ is set to offer the Guyanese public a wide array of top quality ice-cream.Managing Director of Gravity Lounge, Navin Singh, took friends, family members and media operatives on a tour and menu sampling exercise at its location situated alongside the Footsteps

mega-store on America Street in downtown Georgetown. He explained that, after much success with Gravity, he felt there was need for a dessert entity; and, as such, he began researching franchises and discovered Marble Slab Creamery, which will be officially opened on Monday
“Marble Slab Creamery shares the same vision with us in terms of providing top quality products that everyone could relate to; and (it) is also price conscious,” Singh emphasised.
He added that this is a “huge plus” for him and other collaborators, since Guyana has been longing for more in its ‘dessert’ industry.
Given that the competition has now begun in this industry, with competitors like Brusters and Dairy Queen in the arena, Singh noted that this dessert entity will offer more than just the best customer service. He said there are approximately 70 flavours with over 13 different toppings which will rotate every week.
Singh also disclosed that he is currently on the verge of expanding Gravity’s portfolio so that Guyana can be among the best in the food and entertainment industry.
Paul Probst, Marble Slab Creamery’s franchise business consultant, told the Chronicle he was excited about this venture, and is hoping that it expands in the near future.
Marble Slab Creamery has been serving chef-created, super-premium and hand-mixed ice cream since 1983. Every batch of Marble Slab Creamery ice cream is fresh made in small batches in the store, using ingredients from around the world and dairy from local farms.

Marble Slab Creamery is today enjoyed by consumers across the globe, and is obtainable at locations in Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, the United States, and now Guyana.
