Mason denies ganja smoking charge

A MASON accused of smoking marijuana was yesterday granted $50,000 bail after he denied the allegation when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. It is alleged that on Tuesday at Georgetown, Troy Smith smoked cannabis.

Police Prosecutor Bharrat Mangru did not relate the facts to the court nor objected to bail. The matter was transferred to city magistrate Faith McGusty for March 30.
