Granger and Nagamootoo in their cartoonish images of Tom and Jerry

WITH their respective agendas and vendettas, the duo David Granger and Moses Nagamootoo, in their cartoonish and buffoonery images of Tom and Jerry have lapsed into selective amnesia and in the process have erased all memories of their rivalry so that they can now pursue a common goal – the grab for power.

Whilst it took seven years for the people of South Africa (1995 – 2002 ) in the form of the Commission of Truth and Reconciliation to give birth to the Promotion of National Unity and Reconciliation Act, of 1995, these two charlatans, David and Moses, gave birth to Guyana’s national unity in one miraculous day in Linden in March and they did it without the democratic mandate of the Guyanese people.

David told diehard PNC supporters, “the APNU/AFC coalition is the best thing that has happened to Linden. APNU/ AFC is the future…We wrestle against the rulers of darkness” and Moses as if to outbid David in the biggest PNC stronghold said: “Today we must bury the hatchet of hatred…our purpose here and now is a healing purpose…this election is about bringing division to an end…it is time that we change our country”.

Maybe David and Moses can tell the Guyanese people why they have refused to appear before the Rodney Inquiry. The Rodney Inquiry is part of the healing process of what took place under the darkness of PNC rule . It is understandable that David’s reason is not to show his complicity but for Moses, his refusal to acknowledge the COI’s purpose can only be construed as towing his party line the APNU one.

What David did not tell Moses who, because of his amnesic, declining cognitive skills and poor vision, is that in the evolving process, the final formula of their arranged marriage will read as follows.
APNU+ AFC = PNU + FC = PN + C = PNC
