THE Indian Arrival Committee (IAC) will be holding a pre-Holi celebration ‘Rang Barse’, at the Bath Settlement Tarmac, West Coast Berbice starting from 16:00 hrs (4 pm) today.
IAC’s now annual Rang Barse event in ‘Bath Settlement’ usually attracts a mammoth crowd and is testament to the fact that Holi (Phagwah) has truly become a national festival in Guyana. Phagwah is one of the most ancient, joyous and colourful festivals of the Hindu calendar, and will be celebrated this year on Friday March 6th.
