More MoHA staffers,GPF officers receive training overseas

THE Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) said the following persons attended Meetings and Training Programmes for the month of January 2015, drawn from the MoHA and the Guyana Police Force (GPF) :MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS
Minister Clement J. Rohee attended the “Fifteenth Meeting of the Council for National Security and Law Enforcement (CONSLE)” on January 28th, 2015 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The meeting discussed inter-alia, the Caricom Crime and Security Budget for 2015, Report from Commissioners of Police and Heads of Intelligence Units and a Proposal for a Sustainability Programme from the Regional Crime and Security Framework.

GUYANA POLICE FORCE
Superintendent Robert Tyndall and Assistant Superintendent Trevor Reid of the Criminal Investigations Department attended a Training Programme in “Basic Investigative Techniques” in Barbados from January 12 – 21, 2015.
The Training Course focused on the investigative techniques necessary to conduct a money- laundering investigation.
Commissioner of Police (ag) Mr. Seelall Persaud, DSM and Assistant Commissioner Mr. Winston Cosbert and Head (ag) Special Branch, attended a “Meeting of Commissioners of Police and Heads of Intelligence” on January 27th, 2015 in Trinidad and Tobago.
