A 12-member jury was yesterday empanelled at the Demerara Assizes to try Vinod Balgobin for the murder of Maryann Sunita Nauth.

The murder was allegedly committed been May 11 and 12, 2013 in the county of Demerara.
Justice Franklyn Holder is presiding. Prosecuting are Misses Teshana Lake, Orinthia Schmidt and Shawnette Austin.
