PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar has issued a message of condolence on behalf of the Government and people of Guyana on the passing of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.

The full text of President Ramotar’s message reads:

“Your Majesty,

“The Government and people of the Republic of Guyana join me in conveying our deepest sympathies to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the passing of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud. “
“King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud will long be remembered for his astute stewardship and the instrumental role which he played in the economic, social and cultural development of his nation and further afield. “
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his bereaved family and indeed all the people of Saudi Arabia during this time of national mourning. “
