Understanding…from a teen’s point of view!

> Closing off the school term:

Hello there! I hope that you all enjoyed your school parties but kept the fun clean! To my adult readers I hope you all are enjoying whatever Christmas preparation you have undertaken.Well, this is the end of the school term for most of us unless you have to go to school to complete unfinished work. Most of you guys should have received your progress report for the term; I hope you all have performed to the best of your abilities and remember that next term we should try even harder. If you haven’t done as well as expected then you know that definitely next term you gotta “be on the ball.” Nothing is to be blamed on your teachers, in fact whatever score you got is a result of your input but with the help of others. Also, you have to appreciate the efforts made by your parents because they are the fundamentals of who you are.

During this term if we have done something we did not like we should not let it recur, and if we did something to someone that made them angry or vice versa. We shouldn’t let trivial things break relationships so don’t start the New Year and new term with hatred. Try to make things right over the holidays, because tis the season to be jolly!
Also at the end of this term I hope you all have not done anything that would make next term bad or that you would regret later on. It is a common practice that on the last week of school where there is minimal work done, that we youths tend to “get on” but in so doing hope that nothing too extravagant was done.

Well that’s all for this week! Look out next week for my article about my little trip to the Children’s Home with my class and hopefully pictures and I’m also asking you all to support Reesa Sooklall- the reigning Miss Guyana Talented Teen, my classmate who will be representing Guyana at the Miss Caribbean Talented Teen (See her Facebook page for more information).

Quote for the week: (Unknown)
“The past is the past, but you should learn from your mistakes- change now- for a brighter future!”

See you here again in your favourite and best newspaper in Guyana! Goo!
