Taxi driver shot at Enmore during $1.5M robbery

INVESTIGATIONS are being conducted into the shooting of taxi driver, Imran Khan at about 11:30hrs yesterday at Enmore, ECD, during an armed robbery while he was sitting in his vehicle.

According to reports, Imran Khan of De Hoop, Mahaica was hired by a man who had travelled to a city bank to transact business and who had stopped at a business place at Enmore, leaving a bag in the vehicle.
While Khan was waiting in the vehicle, two men rode up on a motorcycle and one of them shot him to his left shoulder and took away the bag with $1.5M and they escaped.
Khan has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
