FORGARTY’s Store on Saturday held a presentation ceremony to hand over prizes won by participants in the company’s annual back-to-school promotion at the Forgarty’s Store, Water Street, Georgetown.

The promotion was held during the period of July through September, and the names of the winners were drawn at another formal ceremony at the store.
Manager Archie Philips said the promotion has been running for over 15 years and has been attracting great responses. He stated that all the prizes are educational and are intended to help successful participants learn; prizes that may be essential and improve the child’s life in some way, to portray the importance of education to development.
The promotion highlights the current Education Month, which is being observed under the theme: ‘Literate by Grade 4 through Consistent, Home, School and Community Involvement’. The winners expressed their gratitude to Forgarty’s Limited and the Laparkan Company for staging these promotions and allowing them a chance to win wonderful prizes.
The prize-winners obtained either gadgets, haversacks and stationery.
A lucky lad who won a bag pack, was overjoyed and his mom expressed warm thanks to Fogarty’s for holding the promotion.
