IN an effort to boost the surroundings of Fyrish Village, Corentyne, the Seventh Day Adventist Church held a community-enhancement exercise, which resulted in the painting of a pedestrian crossing, and the weeding of overgrown bushes along the public thoroughfare.

Church representative Mr. Selwyn Johnson said that the initiative is that of the Pathfinders and Masterguides of the Courtland and Number One Road Seventh-day Adventist Churches. The exercise is one of a series of continual exercises that are being organised by various branches of the religious body.
