THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Natasha Smith of Lot 129 Buxton, East Coast Demerara, yesterday, pleaded not guilty to the charge which detailed that on September 7 at Durban Backlands, Georgetown, she unlawfully and maliciously damaged one jersey belonging to Beverley Barrow and valued at $5,000.
Barrow, a 45-year-old nurse of Lot 2001 La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the offence which detailed that on the day in question, at Durban Backlands, she damaged one jersey belonging to Jerome Gitts and valued at $12,000.
She was represented by Attorney-at-Law Mr. Paul Fung-a-fat, who requested bail in a reasonable sum for his client.
The third defendant, 45-year-old Gitts of Lot 129 Durban Backlands, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge which detailed that on the day in question, he unlawfully assaulted Barrow.
Police Prosecutor Seon Blackman did not object to bail, and Georgetown Magistrate Fabayo Azore placed each of the trio on $5,000 bail. The trio will make their next court appearance before City Magistrate Dylon Bess on September 22.
