THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) has been conducting operations at car and bus parks within Georgetown to apprehend touts for soliciting persons for public transportation.

Within the past two weeks, some 80 such operatives have been arrested; and, so far, 65 of them have been placed before the courts, while 15 of them have failed to appear before magistrates, and arrest warrants have been issued for them.

The police have said that this operation will continue in efforts to bring some order at the car/bus parks.
